Thomas Matti

Thomas Howard Matti was born on August 8, 1957 in Perham, Minnesota.  His parents were the late Howard and Marie (Wiirta) Matti. Thomas attended New York Mills High School and graduated with the Class of 1975.  He was united in marriage to Jayne Sanda on October 29, 1977 at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills. They were married for ten years and their marriage was blessed with three children: Nichole, Scott and Derek.

Thomas was employed with Land O’ Lakes in Perham, Minnesota.  He moved to Buffalo and was employed with Painters Union District Council #82. He was then employed with Fransen Decorating, before retiring in 2011. 

Thomas enjoyed Bowling, salmon fishing, hunting and visiting with family and friends.

On June 17, 2020 Thomas passed away at his home in Grantsburg, WI at 62 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Thomas in death were his parents, Howard and Marie; and his brother, William Matti.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Nichole Matti of Maple Grove; Scott (Rae Rae) Matti of Maplewood and Derek (Jackie) Matti of Somerset, WI; grandchildren: Alivia, Angel and Scotti Marie; brothers: Wayne (Janice) Matti of Perham; James Matti of Cushing, WI; Mark Matti of New York Mills; Jon Matti of Panama Beach City, FL; Robert Matti of Cushing, WI; many other relatives and a host of friends.
