LaVilla Mae Marketon was born on May 7, 1941 at home in Henning, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Joseph and Gertrude (Husfeldt) Marketon. She attended Henning High School, graduating with the class of 1959.
LaVilla made her home in Minneapolis where she was employed at Woolworths for 35 years. She worked at the Metrodome and the Xcel Center with the vendors for ten years. LaVilla retired in November of 2015.
On February 5, 2021, LaVilla passed away at Copperfield Assisted Living in Robbinsdale, Minnesota at 79 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding LaVilla in death are her parents: Joseph and Gertrude Marketon; sisters: Martha Swoboda, Gladys Holm and Edna Marketon; brothers: Ervin Marketon and Reuben Marketon.
Surviving LaVilla are her sisters: Bernice (Lester) Schrenk of Bloomington; and Mildred (Thomas) Davison of Brooklyn Center; many other relatives and a host of friends.
