Kevin Boe

Kevin Boe, age 59, of Deer Creek, Minnesota passed away on September 5, 2023, at his home.

Kevin Richard Boe was born on November 24, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents are Julie (Becker) Boe and the late Richard Jerome Boe.  Kevin graduated from Deer Creek High School with the class of 1982. Kevin furthered his education at Fergus Falls Community College and then Bemidji State University, where he received a degree in Elementary Education and Coaching. He worked as a substitute teacher for area schools, and was employed with CEP in Staples, Minnesota where he hired kids for summer employment. Kevin was most recently employed at Fosters in Rogers, Minnesota for the past 12 years.

Kevin’s most fond memories of high school and college was playing basketball.  He loved coaching basketball in Verndale and Henning, also summer rec activities.  He also enjoyed watching college sports on tv and the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins.

Kevin passed away peacefully at his home in Deer Creek, Minnesota at 59 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and his friends. Preceding Kevin in death is his father, Richard Boe, grandparents Olaf and Olga Boe and Elmer and Selma Becker.

Surviving Kevin is his mother, Julie Boe; sisters: Cheryl (Bob) Kempenich; Patty (Bruce Dovenmuehle) Christenson; and Lori (Dave) Burczyk; nieces and nephews: Nikki (William) Warner; Sheree (fiancé Dondi Kimber) Volkmann; Nina (Mike) Swenson; LaRae (Jason) Kovar; Dana (fiancé, Sam Boeckers) Christenson; Caleb Burczyk; and Tori (fiancé, Austin Birrenkott) Kempenich; 15 great nephews and nieces and 1 great-great nephew along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
