Janice "Jan" Breuer

Jan was born on March 26, 1939 in McKinley, Wisconsin. Her parents were Harold and Theresa (Denn) Lindahl. Jan graduated from Luck High School in Luck, Wisconsin with the class of 1957. After graduating, she made her home in Minneapolis and was employed as a waitress and at the St. Paul’s Dispatch Laundromat.

Jan married Nicholas John Breuer in February 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Together Jan and Nick made their home in Minneapolis until 1965 when they purchased a hobby farm in rural Delano. Jan and Nick started their injection molding business, Rural Plastics, and raised their family on the farm. In November 1974 they made their home in Bluffton where Jan was employed as a chiropractic assistant at Knauf Chiropractic Clinic in Wadena. They had many adventures together including raising all kinds of animals including ostriches.

Jan enjoyed racing and riding snowmobiles, watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins, deer hunting, gardening, arts and crafts, dancing, and baking. She was a member of the Bluffton Lions Club and attended St. John’s Catholic Church.

On July 13, 2021, Janice Emily (Lindahl) Breuer passed away in the comfort of her own home in Wadena, Minnesota at 82 years of age. She was dearly loved by her friends and family. Preceding Jan in death are her parents: Harold and Theresa (Denn) Lindahl; loving husband Nick Breuer; siblings: Patricia Belisle, Delores Holst, and Jim O’Dell.

Surviving Janice are her daughters: Becky Pederson of Fergus Falls, Kim (Mark) Duncanson of St. Cloud, Diane (Mike Shubert) McClain of Wadena, Denise Foose of Brooklyn Park; and her sons: Tom (Barb) Breuer of Annandale, Doug (Andrea Tucker) Breuer of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Dave (Kathy) Breuer of Buffalo, Mario (Ann) Ramirez of Milaca, Duane (Donna) Beaudreau of Pennington, Danny Breuer of St. Francis.

Jan will be missed by her 37 grandchildren, more than 54 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Please gather at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena for a celebration of her life on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm and a prayer service at 2:00 pm.
