Elsie Anderson

Elsie Frances Anderson passed away peacefully at the age of 97; on Dec. 23rd at Huger Mercy Living Center, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the last survivor of the 8 children of William T. Anderson, and Anna Lydia Wapola Anderson.  Born in Heinola, Minn. and raised in New York Mills, Elsie lived most of her life in Phoenix, Arizona where she enjoyed a 35 yr. Career as a manager with Sperry Rand until her retirement in 1986.

Elsie never married, but she was a loving Aunt to her 14 nieces and nephews, and their children. She always remembered every Birthday, special occasion, and holiday for each with a greeting card. She was also very generous with financial contributions to a long list of charitable organizations.

Her siblings who preceded Elsie are: Lempi Holmstrom, Edna McDonald, Bertha Barber, Hazel Hill, Florence Dreckman, William S.Anderson, and Calvin Anderson who died as an infant during the 1917-18 Pandemic.
