Elenor Lubitz was born on July 6, 1926 in Perham, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Otto and Anna (Meier) Lubitz. She was confirmed on June 16, 1940 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corliss Township. On July 12, 1944, Elenor was united in marriage to Walter “Walt” Stewart. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children. Elenor and Walt made their home in Corliss Township in 1945 where they farmed while Elenor raised their family and Walt did custom lumber sawing. In 1990, Elenor and Walt retired from dairy and beef farming, remaining on the farm.
Elenor enjoyed a walz, animals, flowers, she baked the best apple pie in the neighborhood and loved country life. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree.
On May 9, 2021 Elenor passed away peacefully at Perham Living at 94 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Elenor in death were her parents; husband Walter Stewart; infant daughter; daughter Leann; son-in-law Roger Jerde; sister Laura Chamness, brothers Wilbert, Ervin, Hank and Ruben Lubitz.
Elenor is survived by her daughters: Connie (Darrell) Hall of Hayden, Idaho; Cleone Stewart of Perham; Lanete Fehrenbach of Perham; 2 grandchildren; David (Loni); and Jesse of Perham; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
