Duane Guck

Duane Francis Guck was born on April 3, 1941, in Bluffton, MN, to parents Hugo and Helen (Breuer) Guck. Duane passed peacefully in his sleep on August 29, 2023, at The Gardens at Brook Ridge.

Duane grew up on a farm in rural Bluffton, MN. He attended a country school and graduated from New York Mills High School in 1959.

On June 2, 1964, Duane was united in marriage to Janice Kruse. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Edward, and Jacqueline.

Duane was an avid hunter and a member of the Pharr Rifle & Pistol Club. He loved riding his bike and taking care of his flowers. In the last months of his life, he found a new love for coloring.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Helen Guck, brother Jerome Guck, son-in-law Darwin Edmond, and great granddaughter Miya Peck.

Duane is survived by his wife, Janice Guck of Pharr, TX; children: Michael (Jean) Guck of Richville, MN; Edward Guck and Leah Oslund of Edina, MN; Teresa England of Stillwater, MN; Jacqueline Edmond of San Juan, TX; six grandchildren: Jonathan, Carman, Sara, Jake, Darlya, and Eryka; nine great grandchildren: Hunter, Gage, Molly, Castiel, Creed, Cade, Cyce, Kellee, and Abigail; brother Ronald (Deian) Guck of Hastings, MN; sisters: Margaret (Peter) Van Erp of Battle Lake, MN, and Susan (Edwin) Vonderharr of Madison, MN; many other relatives and special friends.
