Brenda Pederson

Brenda Jo Pederson was born on June 30, 1952 in Menahga, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Ansel and Ruth (Liimmatta) Olson. Brenda graduated from the Menahga High School with the class of 1970.

Brenda married Raymond Lehner on June 2, 1973 at Nimrod Lutheran Church in Nimrod, Minnesota.. They were married for 25 years and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Ryan and Rory. Brenda and Ray enjoyed traveling for Ray’s work to several different states and eventually settled on the Lehner farmstead near Nimrod, Minnesota. Brenda enjoyed sightseeing, boating, and spending time with her boys on the farm. She was very proud of her sons and was known to play match maker from time to time by attempting to set them up.

On May 18, 2000 Brenda was married to Glenn Pederson in Wadena, Minnesota. Together they made their home in Oylen, Minnesota. They enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, riding their Harley-Davidson, driving around the countryside, and spending time with family and friends.

Brenda was employed at Homecrest in Wadena, retiring in 2014. She was also a busy person and enjoyed taking care of her friend, Jazzy and cleaning for friends and family at various locations. Brenda loved gardening, growing flowers, baking, mowing the lawn and her bichon puppy, Teddy. She was an avid garage sale shopper and was very persuasive at convincing her family and friends to purchase many treasures that they later questioned buying.

On December 2, 2020 Brenda passed away at Essentia Health Care in Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by family. Brenda was 68 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Brenda in death were her parents, Ansel and Ruth; sister, Carlotta Stomberg and brother, Donny Olson.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Glenn Pederson of Menahga; children: Ryan (Megan) Lehner, Rory Lehner, Ryan Pederson, Shannon Farber, Kimberly Neuberger, Dave Neuberger; 5 grandchildren: Dustin, Travis, Amber, Katie and Olivia; 7 great-grandchildren: Gage, HayleyRay, Nash, Tess, Chase, Cole, Hayes ; Sisters: Rhonda Olson, Tamara (Lon) Schaefer, Dawn (Bill) Pederson; brothers: Tim (Donna) Olson, Ron (Liz) Olson and Leland Olson; many other relatives and a host of friends.
