Allen Mondry

Allen Leroy Mondry was born February 6, 1943, to William and Mary (Peterson) Mondry on a farm near Ardoch, ND.  He grew up and attended school in Minto where he graduated from Minto High School in 1961.  He worked for local farmers and later worked at WLA Grain in Minto with his father and brother.  He married Susan Boedigheimer in December of 1988 and they had a son William, and a daughter Lori.  He spent the rest of his working years farming locally and working at Marvin Windows.  He died peacefully at home surrounded by family, and is survived by his son William (Rebecca) Mondry, Lori (Woody) Saltzman, his grandson Caspian, and granddaughter Rayne.  He is also survived by his sisters, Shirlee (Tom) Thompson and Mary Ellen (Eugene) Balek, sister-in-law Mary Ann Mondry, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Marilyn, Kay, and Karen, and younger brother Lyle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto, ND, from 4:00-8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held the next morning at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the procession to Sacred Heart Cemetery and a luncheon to follow at Minto Park.
