Robert Eugene Brill was born on May 11, 1939 in New York Mills, Minnesota to Cela and Mabel (Welter) Brill. He attended New York Mills High School and graduated with the Class of 1957. On August 12, 1961, Bob was united in marriage to Lorraine Schwartz at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
Bob honorably served in the United States Air Force in Okinawa, Japan. After being discharged, he was employed with Erie Mining Company in Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota. He later owned and operated Metal Fabrication Shops in Hoyt Lakes, Henning, New York Mills, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bob enjoyed welding, and metal fabrication. One of his greatest accomplishments was when he fabricated an escape cage for a magician. He also fabricated hydraulics at a live “Fire and Ice” show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Bob’s other hobbies included watching baseball, boxing, and deer hunting with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Cela and Mabel; his loving wife, Lorraine; brothers: Marlin, Curtis and Roger; and his sisters: Claretta and LaVern.
He is survived by his children: Paul (Carole) Brill of New York Mills; Paula Rohr of Wadena; Dean Brill of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Debi (Darrin) Rohr of Wadena; grandchildren: Kimberley (Marshall Rach) Brill of Vergas, Minnesota; Benjamin (Dominique Rainville) Brill of Kent, Minnesota; Matthew Rohr of Wadena; Marcus Rohr of Wadena; Hanah Rohr of Wadena; Dustin Rohr of Wadena; and Daytin Rohr of Wadena; great-grandchild: Parker Raine Rach of Vergas, Minnesota; sisters: Joan Smith of Nampa, Idaho; and Rachel Eklund of New York Mills; sister-in-law: Sandy Brill of New York Mills; many other relatives and a host of friends.
