Mabel Lindquist

Mabel Florence Lindquist was born on May 16, 1926 in Hurdsfield, North Dakota.  Her parents were the late Carl and Alma (Thompson) Lindquist.  Mabel lived with her parents on the family farm in the Melby-Evansville area.  The Lindquist Family made their home in rural Vining where they continued farming.  Mabel attended a country school in Folden Township.  She enjoyed farming and spending time outdoors with Dad.  In later years, the Lindquist Family moved into Vining where Mabel helped family and friends with cleaning homes, washing windows, other daily tasks and even delivering the mail.

For the past 9 years Mabel has received wonderful care at Our Home Your Home in Henning where she felt a part of their family.  In the previous years, she was an active member of Nidaros Lutheran Church, holding various positions in WELCA, enjoying Bible Study, Vining Quilters, Sons of Norway and the Vining Senior Citizens.

On May 20, 2019 Mabel passed away peacefully at Our Home Your Home at 93 years of age.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Alma Lindquist; 2 stepsisters: Ellen Holm and Edna Smestad.

Mabel is survived by a host of friends.
