Louise Alvina (Guse) Spanswick was born on December 1, 1929 to Gustav and Bertha (Jahnke) Guse on the family farm in Henning. She was the youngest of 13 children. She was baptized, confirmed and was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henning. Louise attended and graduated from Henning High School in 1948.
On April 27, 1968, Louise was united in marriage to Clarence “Bud” Spanswick. They resided and worked in the Henning community their entire lives. Louise had many employment experiences, including The Creamery, Consumers, North American Crop Underwriters and other bookkeeping opportunities.
Some of her interests were baking, sewing, gardening, puzzles and taking care of Buddy, the family pet. She enjoyed the vacations she was able to take with her family. But most of all, her pride and joy were her grandsons. Louise loved to attend the many sporting events and activities they participated in. She also had a big interest in watching the Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves.
On July 23, 2019, Louise passed away at Alomere Health in Alexandria, Minnesota. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
