Lester Johnson

Lester Dennis Johnson was born on March 6, 1947 in Henning Township.  His parents were the late Samuel and Irene (Bergsten) Johnson. He attended and graduated from Henning High School. After high school Lester enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served as a mechanic.  He was stationed in Texas, then England. When he returned, he was employed at M & R Signs in Fergus Falls, MN then at Mark’s Sand and Gravel for 28 years.  He enjoyed rebuilding anything and reselling them; he also loved to deer hunt. 

On February 23, 2019 Lester passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Battle Lake, MN at 72 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Lester in death were his parents, Samuel and Irene.

Lester is survived by his daughter, Kari Campbell of Alexandria; sons: Scott (Amy) Johnson of Henning and Todd (Melissa) Johnson of Navarre, Florida; 6 grandchildren; Taylor, Brandon, Blaine, Morgan, Cambrie, and Liyah; sister, Ruby Reiter of Henning; brothers:  Wesley Johnson of Henning and Duane Johnson of Dickenson, North Dakota; other relatives and a host of friends.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.
