Cheryl Jean (Lunak) Burmeister was born on September 17, 1962 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota to Darlene Tellijohn and the late Robert Francis Lunak. Cheryl graduated from the Mankato High School with the class of 1980 and continued her education in California. Residing in California and then Wisconsin Cheryl was employed in transportation and shipping products overseas.
On October 17, 1989 Cheryl had the excitement of attending game 3 of the World Series at Candlestick Park in San Francisco between the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics, when they experienced a 6.9 magnitude earthquake that damaged the stadium and delayed the series 10 days. In the fall of 1998 Cheryl married Sam Frost in Ramsey, Minnesota. They were married until 2007 and were blessed with two children: Danny and Matthew.
On October 16, 2007 Cheryl was married to Lynn “Boo” Earl Burmeister at the United Methodist Church in Ottertail, Minnesota. They made their home in Ottertail and enjoyed riding their Harley-Davidson, traveling, fishing and time with family and friends. Cheryl also enjoyed gardening, needlework, feeding the birds and being at the lake. Boo passed away on October 19, 2018.
On July 18, 2019 Cheryl passed away at Sanford Medical Care in Fargo, North Dakota at 56 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death was her father, Robert Francis Lunak; husband, Lynn “Boo” Earl Burmeister and her brother, Rick.
Cheryl is survived by her sons: Danny Frost of West Fargo and Matthew Frost of Bluffton; parents: Darlene (Bill) Tellijohn; Linda Lunak; brother, Ronald (Leann) Lunak of Montrose; many other relatives and a host of friends.
