Carol Barden

Carol Jean Barden was born in Wadena, Minnesota on August 25, 1958 to Carl and Gladys (Ackerman) Barden. She grew up in the Iron Range, graduating from Ely High School with the class of 1976.

After high school, Carol attended Eveleth Vo-Tech College where she earned her degree in accounting. Carol made her home in Perham, MN and was employed with Perham Sand and Gravel. She then resided in New York Mills, MN where she continued her employment in bookkeeping. Carol enjoyed crocheting and working on the computer.

Carol passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota, at 60 years of age. Preceding Carol in death is her father, Carl; sister, Janice; brother, Bruce and nephew, Craig Barden.

Carol is survived by her mother, Gladys; and her sister, Joyce (Richard) Chelmo; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills at 11:00 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service at church.
