Obituary for Kathryn Rudolph

Kathryn Sophie Barnhart was born on November 4, 1923 at home in Deer Creek Township, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Arthur Phillip and Sophie Teckela (Leifermann) Barnhart. Kathryn attended country school in Topelius. For her secondary education she attended Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson Minnesota. She went to Emmanuel Missionary College in Berrien Springs, Michigan where she obtained a teaching degree. From 1948- to 1951 Kathryn taught school in Wadena, Minnesota. On June 10, 1951 Kathryn was united in marriage with Donald Aldwin Rudolph in Wadena. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children: Shirley, Kelvin and Pamela. Kathryn and Donald resided and farmed in Homestead Township. In 1992 they retired from farming and moved into New York Mills. Donald passed away on November 23, 1999. Kathryn continued to reside in New York Mills and then made her home in Perham in 2008.

Kathryn was a member of the Wadena Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as a treasurer for many years and on the building committee for the new church. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, reading and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

On November 12, 2017 Kathryn passed away peacefully at Perham Living in Perham, Minnesota at 94 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Kathryn in death were her parents; husband, Donald; 3 sisters: Edith, Lulu and Lila; 2 brothers: Lee and Leland.

Kathryn is survived by her 3 children: Shirley (Pastor Mark) Luckiesh, Waterloo IA; Dr. Kelvin (Sandra) Rudolph, Perham MN ; Pamela (Dr. David) Wilkinson, Lewiston ID; 8 grandchildren: Ann (Brian) Squier; Joseph “Joe” Luckiesh; Kurt (Tracy) Rudolph; John (Maegan) Luckiesh; Sara (Dr. Mark) Stephens; Michael Wilkinson; Daniel Wilkinson and Stephen Wilkinson; 2 great-grandchildren: Mason and Owen Squier many other relatives and a host of friends.
